Roofing Before & After in Fort Worth, TX
We can talk about nails per square and underlayment until the cows come home. But you didn’t call a roofer to hear vocabulary. You called because something’s wrong up there, and you want to know what fixed looks like. These are the kinds of roofs we see across Fort Worth, from Ridglea to Meadowbrook to the north side, and what happened after we got involved.

Hail-Battered Composition Roof in Wedgwood

A spring hailstorm came through and left this Wedgwood roof looking like someone took a ball-peen hammer to every other shingle. The homeowner didn’t even know the extent of it until we got up there and found bruising across two slopes, cracked tabs at the eaves, and a section of drip edge that had been doing nothing for years. We replaced the full field with architectural shingles, installed new drip edge and underlayment, and re-flashed every penetration. The result is a roof that’ll shrug off the next storm instead of filing an insurance claim.
Curling and Blistering Shingles in North Richland Hills

This one looked worse in person than it did from the street, which is more common than you’d think. The shingles were curling hard at the edges, and blistering told us moisture was getting trapped in the decking because the attic ventilation was basically decorative. We did a full tear-off, replaced a few sheets of soft decking, added proper intake and exhaust venting, and laid down a new architectural roof. That roof now breathes, and the shingles will last as long as the manufacturer says they will, which only happens when the system underneath is right.
Failed Flashing Repair Gone Wrong in Arlington Heights

A previous repair had slathered sealant around the chimney like caulk on a bathtub, and the leak came back the next season like it had a subscription. Arlington Heights homes have real character, but old chimneys and older flashing don’t forgive shortcuts. We pulled all the old material, cut in proper step flashing and counter-flashing, and replaced the water-damaged decking beneath. The homeowner’s ceiling stain hasn’t returned since, and the chimney finally looks like part of the house instead of a science experiment.
Storm-Torn Section of Roof in Stop Six

Straight-line wind tore a 12-foot swath of shingles clean off this Stop Six roof, leaving underlayment exposed and rain heading straight for the living room. The homeowner called at 7 a.m. on a Saturday, got a live person, and we had a technician out the same morning. We replaced the damaged decking, matched the shingles to the existing roof, and tied the new section in so you can’t tell where the old roof stops and the new one starts. The whole repair went on paper before we started, and the price didn’t move.
Leaking Flat Roof on a Mid-Century in Ridglea Hills

Flat roofs in Ridglea Hills get zero margin for error, and this one had used its margin up years ago. The membrane was cracked, water was ponding in the same two spots after every rain, and the ceiling below had the water stains to prove it. We peeled the old system off, repaired the low spots so water actually drains toward the scuppers, and installed a new single-ply membrane with new edge metal. Flat roofs will always need attention, but this one finally has the drainage and the membrane to buy the homeowner a decade or more.
Rotting Decking Discovered During an Inspection in Handley

The homeowner thought they just needed a few shingles replaced. Our inspection found that the shingles were the least of it. The decking underneath had been soaking up water from a failed valley for long enough that it went soft, and that’s a structural problem waiting for a windy day. We cut out the rotted section, replaced it with new plywood, installed fresh underlayment, and then shingled back over with a proper valley that will actually move water instead of holding it. The homeowner said the same thing most do at that point: they’d rather know than not know. I figure that’s the whole job.
Want Results Like These?
The common thread in every job above isn’t the brand of shingle or the size of the roof. It’s that someone called, we walked the roof, and they got a written price before any work started. That’s how it goes every time. If your roof is telling you something, call Travis at (682) 900-7902.
